Location Iceberg Lake
Comments This was the most spectacular hike on our trip. 8 and 1/2 miles round trip, up and back down 1,700 feet. Iceberg lake is exactly what it says: there are icebergs that "calved" from the glacier that flows into the lake. I was quite surprised to see lots of wildflowers near mid-September. I was told that is was due to a wet Summer and a late Spring.

Glacier Pictures Did you know?
To the Blackfeet, the mountains of this area, especially Chief Mountain and the region in the southeast at Two Medicine, were considered the "Backbone of the World" and were frequented during vision quests.
