Location Many Glacier
Comments I was cross country skiing in Many Glacier early in the morning. I heard Coyotes yapping at something. It turns out that a wolverine was eating a dead bighorn sheep and the coyotes were trying to harass it away. After seeing me then the wolverine bolted and the coyotes moved in. They dragged much of the carcass away. Later I brought park biologist Rick Yates to investigate how the sheep died.

Glacier Pictures Did you know?
In 1895, Chief White Calf of the Blackfeet authorized the sale of some 800,000 acres to the U.S. government for $1.5 million with the understanding that they would maintain usage rights to the land for hunting, etc. This established the current boundary between the park and the reservation.
